Partnerships are key to gospel growth
There are more than 5.5M people in Greater-Toronto. And some 97 to 99 percent of these people have no personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Worse yet, our friends and neighbors here are multi-generationally detached from anything that looks like church, or church family.
This makes for a very slow and yet rewarding journey of discipling families who in most cases will be enjoying their first encounter with Jesus and His church.
Our response to engaging the lostness here is to plant new churches. And things are very different here. Ours is a place where generally we plant home bible studies that maybe a year later turn into public worship services, where it is most common to find gatherings of 30 or 50 people. We are just beginning to create a culture of loving Christ and serving and, yes, giving.
Your Vital Role
The need for partners in this context can not be overstated. It is just vital in every conceivable way. From prayer partners, and accountability partners, to mission teams, and financial partners, we desperately need businesses, churches, foundations, families and individuals who will be willing to walk with us for the long haul.
